Hope ya&#8217;ll can come.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a small dose of the straight talke Mick has brought to Washington:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The role of taxes in our national budget debate<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you read last month\u2019s column or made it out to one of our recent town hall meetings, then you know that I\u2019ve been spending a lot of time talking about debts, deficits, and our national economy.  Instead of talking about trillions or hundreds of billions of dollars, however, I\u2019ve been breaking things down like this:  imagine that we are a family that made $43,000 last year, but we spent $69,000, and we have a credit card balance of $284,000.  Believe it or not, that\u2019s where we are as a country.<\/p>\n<p>And I remind people that the first thing Congress did this year was cut five percent from our own budgets.
