Furthermore, I suspect that had Winthrop polled \u201cregistered voters\u201d or \u201clikely voters,\u201d those numbers would be even more compelling.<\/em><\/p>\n Huge majorities of South Carolinians \u2013 even a majority of Democrats – recognize that the current leadership in Washington is moving our country in the wrong direction. They also recognize that John Spratt \u2013 who voted with Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic leadership 97.8 percent of the time last year \u2013 is no longer part of the solution, but has instead become a major part of the problem.<\/em><\/p>\n As Budget Chairman, John Spratt has presided over $3 trillion in deficit spending over the last two years alone.
