{"id":2661,"date":"2009-11-16T01:20:15","date_gmt":"2009-11-16T06:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kevinbryant.com\/?p=2661"},"modified":"2009-11-16T01:20:15","modified_gmt":"2009-11-16T06:20:15","slug":"lake-hartwell-action-alert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kevinbryant.com\/kbarchive\/lake-hartwell-action-alert\/","title":{"rendered":"Lake Hartwell Action Alert"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Action Alert!<strong> Removal of the Third Dam on\u00a0<span><span>Twelve Mile River<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><span><span>The Lake Hartwell Association<\/span><\/span> along with Upstate Forever and the Pickens Soil and\u00a0<span><span>Water Conservation District<\/span><\/span> has<br \/>\nbeen working hard to remove the third and final dam on Twelve Mile River, and we need your help!\u00a0 We have two<br \/>\ntime-bound opportunities for LHA members to voice their support for making this\u00a0project\u00a0a top priority.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why is removal of the third dam so important?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Because removing the third dam is the only project that will actually\u00a0reduce PCB contamination in Lake Hartwell.<br \/>\nLook at the &#8220;latest news&#8221; items at\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lakehartwellassociation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.lakehartwellassociation.org<\/a>.
