All SFOs must:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
    \n
  • Be South Carolina based 501(c)3 tax exempted non-profit corporations<\/li>\n
  • Spend 95 percent of their income on grants<\/li>\n
  • Not have felons, bankruptcy filers or recipient parents serving as directors,\u00a0volunteers, contractors, consultants, or fundraisers<\/li>\n
  • Award grants to students at two or more eligible schools<\/li>\n
  • Complete an annual comprehensive audit and provide it the Secretary of State and Education Oversight Committee (EOC)<\/li>\n
  • Not\u00a0release personally identifiable information pertaining to students or donors or use information collected for financial gain<\/li>\n
  • Not\u00a0place conditions on schools enrolling students receiving scholarships to limit the ability of the schools to enroll students accepting grants from other SFOs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
