Last week, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Planned Parenthood to examine the unconscionable abortion practices at the nation’s largest abortion provider. This hearing is only part of the House investigation into Planned Parenthood. You can learn more about the House’s ongoing investigation of Planned Parenthood here. Additionally, the House will vote this week on two bills: H.R. 3134, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015, and H.R. 3504, the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
I also signed a letter, led by my South Carolina colleague Mick Mulvaney, committing to vote against any appropriations bill with funding for Planned Parenthood and urging the money be directed to other women’s health organizations that do not engage in such heinous practices.
