fundraiser for Rep. Joshua Putnam

October 31, 2011 by Kevin Bryant

Senators Ryberg, Grooms, Verdin, Bright & I are hosting a fundraiser for newly elected Rep. Josua Putnam. It will be at the Captal City Club in Columbia on Friday 11.18.11 at noon.

Joshua won his special election Anderson County this summer and will start his first session in Columbia in January. He is a young talent and former staff member in the office of Congressman Jeff Duncan. He brings great knowledge and enthusiasm to his office. Rep. Putnam & I serve the same constituents, and I’ve been impressed with his work ethic and commitment to the people of Anderson.

We would love to have your support. If you have any questions for Rep. Putnam, please contact him at www.joshuaputnam.com

PENDLETON — Congressman Jeff Duncan will deliver the keynote address at Tri-County Technical College’s Annual Report Luncheon set for Thursday, October 20.

The luncheon, held at the College’s Pendleton Campus beginning at 11:30 a.m., annually attracts approximately 250 community, business, industrial, government and political leaders from Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties.

Duncan, who serves the residents of the 3rd Congressional District of South Carolina, was elected to Congress in November 2010, and serves on the House Natural Resources Committee, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Homeland Security.

He was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2002, and was named Chairman of the House Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs Committee in 2007.

Congressman Duncan is a 1988 graduate of Clemson University where he played football for Coach Danny Ford. Before being elected to Congress, he served as President and CEO of J. Congratulations on the new Lowe’s Anderson South! Lowe’s now employs 117 associates. I was honored to take part in their “board cutting” (alternative to ribbon cutting) ceremony on Thursday 10.20.11. Rep. Don Bowen (R-Anderson) operated the saw, while I held the board (still have 10 fingers!).

We wish manager Scot Pfeffer and his team well!
