Pendleton American Legion

March 21, 2013 by Kevin Bryant

DSCF0459On March 11, 2013, Senator Kevin Bryant presented a framed copy of legislation to Pendleton Mayor Frank Crenshaw, American Legion Post 113 Commander Frank Allison and Project Chairman Jimmy Jackson, designating a portion of Lebanon Road in Pendleton as Veterans Memorial Highway. Jimmy Jackson, far left, worked on the project for two years through gathering petition signatures, attending Town Council meetings and researching requirements for the road designation. Senator Bryant sponsored the Legislative Bill with Representative Brian White, which passed the Legislature without issue. SC Department of Transportation will post the Highway designation signs at a later date.
