The Senate passed s. 799 unanimously and it will be on the SC House Local Calendar for their consideration, possible amendment, and hopefully passage.

Do NOT merge these two high schools! You are only doing this so you can have a college/career campus. But, you already have one. Just expand it! Make Robert Anderson and Glenview bigger to accommodate the Lakeside and McCants kids. McCant’s smells like mold all year and is an unhealthy place to be. I don’t know about Lakeside. But, I am for combinig Jr. High schools. But NOT High Schools! Just say NO!

The bad part about that situation in question. How many schools in Anderson dist.5 has been closed by that same planning. Busing was the problem in the pass when other schools were close. Children are up riding buses between and 6:00am and 6:30am because of them closing schools in there home school zone. Riding for an hour or 30 minutes did not matter in the pass. Why now? And a lot of those closing happen the same way. Do right by all not just by some.
